President Trump and Melania sleep on separate floors: Book

First lady Melania Trump sleeps on the third floor of the White House residence, a floor above where President Trump spends his nights, according to a new book.

The president, who requested a lock for his bedroom door, sleeps in the master bedroom on the second level of the residence, while his wife stays in a two-room space that was occupied by Michelle Obama’s mother, Marian Robinson, when they lived in the White House, Kate Bennett reports in the book Free, Melania.

The first lady, 49, has a “glam room,” where she does her hair and makeup, and a private gym with a Pilates machine.

The president’s master bedroom and dressing room look out over the Rose Garden and the Oval Office. Trump also has a living room attached to his sleeping quarters.

His third-floor space is among a half-dozen bedrooms on the top level of the White House.

The couple lives in the White House with their 13-year-old son Barron Trump.
