Scarborough: Mulvaney ‘pooped his pants’ in ‘front of the American people’

Joe Scarborough described acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney’s performance during his press conference as him having “pooped his pants.”

Mulvaney told reporters that millions of dollars of U.S. military aid for Ukraine “was held up temporarily” for “completely legitimate” reasons on Thursday. He also urged those that are concerned about the alleged “quid pro quo,” which was the aid in exchange for an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, to “get over it,” before walking back those remarks hours later.

Morning Joe dedicated a segment Friday morning to Mulvaney’s admission and then subsequent retraction. The hosts first aired a clip of President Trump telling Mulvaney to leave the Oval Office because he had been coughing during the president’s interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos from June.

“He’s mad at him for coughing,” Scarborough stated. “What do you do when somebody actually poops their pants in front of the press corps, right, and then tries to take it back.”

He went on, “Willie, you remember money party? Barnicle, you remember money party? How much we love money party? We love money party. And money party’s take on the collapse of the financial markets was that they pooped the bed. Well, Mulvaney actually was from an SNL skit, just right in his pants right in front of the American people. And then tried to take it back later. It’s unbelievable.”

The hosts continued to make similar references to defecating as they moved into the next topic.
