Stephen Colbert reveals Hillary Clinton’s nefarious side

Comedian Stephen Colbert broke down the Hillary Clinton shoe incident on his show Monday night, revealing just how nefarious the former Secretary of State really is — or, at least, according to the shoe truthers.

After a woman threw a shoe at Clinton during a speech earlier this month, some on the Right decried the attack as staged. And on The Colbert Report, the host examined the facts to find out the truth. Colbert pointed out that former presidential candidate Herman Cain had tweeted a link to his website, where someone pointed out that Clinton didn’t duck fast enough.

“Anyone, anyone who’s thrown a shoe at a 66-year-old woman knows they react with cobra speed,” Colbert noted.

The host also drew attention to a post that observed that Clinton may have faked the shoe incident in order to seem more presidential, like when a journalist threw shoes at President George W. Bush.

“Yes, she has stolen President Bush’s most presidential moment,” Colbert said.

Ultimately, Colbert concluded that the shoe incident was either part of a vast Clinton conspiracy that extended back to her loss in the 2008 primary — or simply a crazy woman throwing a shoe.
