James Earl Jones will use his famous voice to talk theater

It’s that booming voice behind characters like “Star Wars'” Darth Vader and “The Lion King’s'” Mufasa that has helped make James Earl Jones a celebrity, but the actor has also spent a notable amount of time on the stage, performing in plays including “Othello,” “Macbeth,” “Thurgood” and “Driving Miss Daisy.” And that’s exactly why he’s coming to Washington next month. Jones will join Shakespeare Theatre Company artistic director Michael Kahn for a part of the company’s “Classic Conversations” series, where the duo will discuss classical theater and the craft of acting. The event will be held Jan. 12, 2012, at 8 p.m. at Sidney Harman Hall. Tickets are available online or through the company’s box office, with prices ranging from $35 to $50.
