Las Vegas shooting leaves one dead and 14 injured

A shooting left one dead and 14 injured in Las Vegas, police announced Saturday afternoon.

The incident, which occurred early Saturday morning in a hookah lounge just off the Las Vegas strip, resulted in the death of one male victim and two others in critical condition. Twelve other victims are in stable condition, and no suspect is in custody, police said Saturday afternoon.

Two people got into a fight, and they then took out their guns and began firing at each other, hitting a total of 15 people, according to a press release. When officers got to the scene at approximately 3:15 a.m., they began rendering aid by applying tourniquets and administering CPR before transporting them to the Sunrise and UMC hospitals, police said.

An investigation into the shooting is underway, and those with information are encouraged to call or email the homicide department of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The name and cause of death of the male victim will be released by the coroner’s office, according to law enforcement.
