President-elect Trump put out a one-line tweet Friday afternoon shortly after the United States abstained and allowed the United Nations Security Council to vote to condemn Israeli settlement construction.

“As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th,” Trump tweeted.
By not vetoing the resolution and merely abstaining from the vote, thus allowing it to pass, the United States marked a dramatic change in its Israel policy weeks before President Obama leaves office.
