America’s royal family, the Kennedys, has landed a third generation budding politician in the U.S. Senate, appropriately named Edward Moore Kennedy III after his grandfather, the late liberal lion, Sen. Edward M. “Teddy” Kennedy.
The teen worked as a summer Senate page, according to the website Legistorm, which tracks legislation and congressional salaries.
Pages are paid $21,978 a year, and receive a proportional amount for shorter terms.
If Teddy III gets his way, it won’t be his last time in the Senate. He announced when he was just 11 that he plans to run for the Senate in 2044.
“I plan to become the senator of Massachusetts when I turn 45,” he told New England Cable News.
