Local politics get … friendly?
With all the sniping going on in the 11th District Republican primary race between Keith Fimian and Pat Herrity, sometimes a little civility can be refreshing.
Fimian volunteer Nick Taxiarhou was knocking on doors on Ranger Road in Fairfax Monday afternoon. If nobody answered, he left a campaign flier on the door with different iterations of “Sorry we missed you!! See you tomorrow” handwritten on the literature.
Herrity, for his part, took one woman’s shopping cart and placed it back with the line of others outside of the Huntsman Square Giant grocery store in Springfield, where he was passing out fliers Monday afternoon.
“You should work here,” she quipped with a smile.
Herrity also gave directions to another woman, who was looking for a Subway.
