A pedestrian struck in a hit-and-run collision in Wheaton last month has died as a result of his injuries, police said.
Malcom Jamar Polk, of Wheaton, died at a hospital Monday, Montgomery County Police said.
An investigation found that on May 31, a blue 2007 Nissan Sentra traveling northbound on Edwin Street hit Polk and then fled the scene. Police said they found the car and have identified the driver, but no charges have been filed against him because the investigation is ongoing.
