Rand Paul teased that he will be making a “major endorsement” Friday, following it up with a promise that it will be “YUGE.”

Friday is April Fool’s Day.
Of course, Paul repeatedly sparred with Donald Trump on the campaign trail, which would make any legitimate endorsement “yuge” indeed. Happy early April Fool’s Day from the Kentucky senator.
Paul has a history of being a bit of a jokester, celebrating the “Seinfeld” holiday of “Festivus” in earnest in December.
While Paul’s true endorsement remains outstanding, Ted Cruz has made significant overtures to Paul’s libertarian constituency. Paul and the Texas senator haven’t always gotten along, and Paul has accused Cruz of being a bit of a copycat.
