BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Mayor Kip Holden has signed an ordinance that relaxes the East Baton Rouge Parish blue laws, clearing the way for bars around the parish to open on Sunday.
Scott Dyer, an aide to the mayor, tells The Advocate (http://bitly.com/RtNjsr ) Holden signed the measure Tuesday which was approved by the Metro Council last week.
This means that bars across the parish will be able to serve alcohol from 11 a.m. to midnight on Sundays. Stores will be able to sell alcohol before 11 a.m.
