Anthony Scaramucci said he believes he was targeted by both political parties and the media.

Anthony Scaramucci will hold an online event on Friday to directly address President Trump's base following his ouster from the White House administration after serving just 11 days as communications director, according to a report.

Scaramucci told CNN the midday event will be broadcast on various live platforms with help from former Fox News Co-President Bill Shine.

Trump dined with Scaramucci, Sean Hannity, and Shine last week at the White House, a story that New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza reported on Twitter, which led to the phone call that contributed to ending Scaramucci's 11-day reign as communications director.

Scaramucci was fired as White House communications director days after a transcript of the interview with Lizza featuring derogatory comments about fellow members of the Trump administration surfaced. One of the more criticized lines from the interview read: "I'm not Steve Bannon, I'm not trying to suck my own cock."

Scaramucci also told CNN that he believes he was the targeted by both political parties and the media.
