Sen. Barbara Boxer Wednesday blasted Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul for his response to President Obama's speech on Syria on Tuesday night.

The California Democrat claimed during an interview on MSNBC that Paul's speech was "an absolute disgrace" for suggesting that military action in Syria would aid al Qaeda.

"He owes the president a huge apology," Boxer said, reminding the audience that Obama was the president who "went and killed bin Laden."

"I just -- especially on the eve of 9/11, when he made those statements, it's beyond the pale to me, really, truly, it is," she added angrily.
