Shelby County Republicans unanimously pass resolution supporting Roy Moore — The Shelby County Republican Executive Committee passed a resolution supporting Roy Moore, and another county GOP committee in Alabama reportedly did something similar. Both pledges of support come prior to the Alabama Republican Steering Committee's Wednesday meeting to discuss the fate of Roy Moore as the GOP candidate, according to the Alabama Political Reporter. The Shelby County Republican Executive Committee unanimously passed a resolution Tuesday in support of Roy Moore as the GOP candidate for the state’s vacant U.S. Senate seat.

The resolution touts the willingness of committee members to “assist and support” Moore as he tries to win the special election, according to a copy of the resolution obtained by the Alabama Political Reporter.
