‘Shame on you’: Omarosa bashes MSNBC host after birther questions

Omarosa Manigault, a surrogate for Donald Trump, tore into MSNBC host Chris Hayes ahead of Monday’s presidential debate after he started asking questions about Trump’s past questions regarding President Obama’s birthplace.

After Hayes asked the former “Apprentice” contestent about his past claims on the issue, she let loose, telling him “shame on you” for not asking about issues such as the situation in Charlotte, N.C., and the killings of black men.

“You know, I find that to be a very interesting place for you to start with. There so many issues that Americans are faced with, including the economy, jobs, education, and you want to start with the birther,” Manigault said. “The good thing is that he’s put that to bed and he’s ready to move on.”

After Hayes told her that he had not put the issue to rest, she pounced, insisting that the birther issue was not the top issue after Trump’s comments nearly two weeks ago during an event at his new hotel in Washington, D.C.

“Don’t you think it’s a really big move for Donald Trump to say he now acknowledges that the president has been born here, and I think it’s important to move on from that and focus on issues that Americans are most interested in,” she continued. “Believe me, the birther issue is not the top issue.”

“We have young black men being killed in this country. We have people rioting in the streets of Charlotte, and you wanna start with birther? Shame on you,” she said.
