Comedian Sarah Silverman lashed out at President Trump on Christmas Eve, saying she felt like punching when thinking about Trump’s border policy.
“I can’t f—ing bear this,” tweeted Silverman. “How do you look at this and support Trump?? He did THIS to be purposely cruel. This is not how we are supposed to welcome the stranger. My f—ing heart. I want to punch.”
Trump has prioritized building a wall along the southern border with Mexico during his first term in office. He has faced funding issues, and a video released in December showed people scaling newly built sections in Tijuana, Mexico.
This isn’t the first time Silverman has used Twitter to criticize the president. In July, Silverman tweeted that the only way Trump would remain out of prison is “by staying president, and he probably will.”
Silverman was criticized this summer after old sketches showed her wearing blackface. Silverman claimed she was fired from a new film after the video resurfaced. After the incident, she decried cancel culture, calling it “righteousness porn.”
