Melania Trump was ambushed at a Michigan middle school by students eager to take a selfie with the first lady while she visited Monday.
“Melania!” students yelled out as Trump passed through the lunchroom at Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield, Mich., according to a pool reporter.
Boys and girls lined up to take pictures with Trump, who was wearing a light purple peacoat-style blazer. Trump crouched down to the kids’ level and smiled for the photos.

While visiting with sixth-grade students, Trump asked if they knew what day it was.
“Yes, it’s Monday,” Trump said to the children, “But it’s also the Week of Inclusion.”
Trump also warned the students against smoking or using illegal drugs. Her husband, President Trump, raised his four adult children not to use legal or illegal substances.
“Don’t try to copy somebody, it’s very important to be yourself,” Trump said. “No drugs, no cigarettes.”
Another video showed DeVos squatting down next to children sitting at a classroom table.
