Madeleine Albright worries Rex Tillerson doesn’t love his job

Madeleine Albright said Thursday she’s worried that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson doesn’t love his job as much as she did.

“I loved being secretary of state, I thought it was the most incredible job in the world,” she said on CNN. “And I don’t kind of see Secretary Tillerson seeing it quite that way.”

Albright was former President Bill Clinton’s secretary of state, and enjoyed a much less tense relationship with Clinton than Tillerson’s relationship with President Trump.

Tillerson recently held a press conference to say he never wanted to leave, and refused to say whether he ever called Trump a “moron.” Trump has publicly undercut Tillerson’s effort to try diplomacy with North Korea.

Tillerson has also suffered from an under-staffed department that had Albright wondering how the department was coping with Trump’s upcoming trip to countries in Asia like Japan, China, South Korea and Vietnam.

“There’s really not the support in the State Department,” she said.
