Campaign team members at Donald Trump’s main Manhattan office have been evacuated after receiving a letter in the mail with a suspicious white powder inside.
New York Police Department officials said they received a 911 call around 7:30 p.m. EST Thursday night after individuals on the fifth floor of the Trump Tower discovered the substance in a parcel.
Six people have been evacuated as a precaution and are being looked over for signs of exposure to a toxic substance.
Firefighters and hazmat units are on location at 725 5th Avenue investigating.
This is not the first time a member of the Trump team has been targeted with a suspicious substance. In March, Eric Trump, 32, was mailed an envelope that contained a suspicious substance and threatening note if his father did not drop out of the race. The substance was later deemed safe.
