Montgomery would get bulk of AP exam funding

Gov. Martin O’Malley wants to spend $3 million to cover Advanced Placement test fees for Maryland students — and nearly $1 million would go to Montgomery County.

Under O’Malley’s plan, Marylanders would pay for students’ $86 per subject fee in school year 2011-2012 for AP exams in biology, calculus, chemistry, computer science, environmental science and physics. The state also would cover PSAT testing for all high school students.
