State suspends assessment exams for grades K-2

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Education Commissioner Pam Stewart has suspended its online assessment of students in kindergarten through second grade.

Stewart noted in a memo to school district superintendents on Monday that teachers will observe children’s reading abilities in a more informal setting.
