Spicer: No more staff changes in the works as deputy chief of staff leaves

President Trump does not plan to make additional changes to his staff in the foreseeable future, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Thursday, hours after it was revealed that deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh is departing the West Wing.

Walsh is leaving the White House to work with outside political groups that can help advance the president’s agenda. Her departure follows the announcement that first daughter Ivanka Trump will join the administration as an unpaid government employee.

Walsh’s departure was seen as a potential blow to White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, to whom she is close, but Spicer’s comment suggests Priebus’s job is, at least not immediately, on the line.
