State Department on North Korea: ‘We have no further comment’

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson issued a very brief statement on the Tuesday’s missile launch by North Korea.

The statement read: “North Korea launched yet another intermediate range ballistic missile. The United States has spoken enough about North Korea. We have no further comment.”

Earlier on Tuesday, North Korea fired a ballistic missile into the sea off its east coast, the South Korean Yonhap News Agency reported, citing military officials. The country has recently conducted a number of missile tests.

A senior Trump administration official warned the “clock has run out” for North Korea and suggested the administration could resort to war.

The missile tests come before President Trump’s and Chinese President Xi Jinping’s meeting this week.
