Air Force Staff Sgt. Christopher Rieper, 28, was deployed to Iraq on Monday, and Cerise Rieper, his mother, needs our help.
Cerise flew from her hometown of San Antonio, Texas, to Baltimore on Saturday to spend the weekend with Chris, who was scheduled to land in Kuwait Wednesday before reaching Baghdad, where he’ll spend the next six months.

After visiting the Maryland Zoo, Cerise left her digital camera — with all the photos she took of Chris — in the back seat of a Blue Cab that arrived at the Marriott Inner Harbor around 12:15 p.m. Monday. She’s contacted the cab company, but no one has reported finding the camera.
“I know it’s a long shot, but I might never see him again,” she said. “My son means the world to me. If I could appeal to someone’s better nature and just [get] the memory card back, that would mean so much to me. The camera doesn’t [mean anything.] I’ll be happy to pay for postage.”
Cerise isn’t sure of the camera’s brand or model. But if you found a silver camera in black carrying case, please e-mail us at [email protected], and I’ll put you in touch with Cerise.
