Talent agency drops Lara Logan for comparing Fauci to infamous Nazi doctor

Journalist Lara Logan was dropped by United Talent Agency for comparing Dr. Anthony Fauci to infamous Nazi doctor Josef Mengele, who performed cruel experiments on Jews during the Holocaust.

The agency said it cut ties with Logan after she made the “highly offensive” and “unacceptable” comments during a November appearance on Fox News, according to United Talent Agency Chief Communications Officer Seth Oster.

“This is what people say to me. [Fauci] doesn’t represent science to them. He represents Josef Mengele, the Nazi doctor who did experiments on Jews during the Second World War in the concentration camps,” Logan said during the appearance.

“I am talking about people across the world who are saying this, ” she continued. “This is because the response from COVID, what it has done to countries everywhere, what it has done to civil liberties, the suicide rates, the poverty, it has obliterated economies. The level of suffering that has been created because of this disease is now being seen in the cold light of day.”

The former 60 Minutes correspondent received a wave of backlash on social media for her claim. The Auschwitz Memorial fired back at Logan on Twitter, calling her rhetoric “shameful.”

“Exploiting the tragedy of people who became victims of criminal pseudo-medical experiments in Auschwitz in a debate about vaccines, pandemic and people who fight for saving lives is shameful. It is disrespectful to victims and a sad symptom of moral and intellectual decline,” the tweet read.

Logan has not made an appearance on Fox News since making the remark. Her show remains on Fox Nation.

Fauci responded to Logan’s remarks during an MSNBC interview, rebutting her comparison of COVID-19 to the flu.

“Forget about the fact that she was being totally slanderous to me and, as usual, had no idea what she was talking about,” Fauci said. “Saying that it’s as benign as flu, when did influenza kill 770,000 Americans?”

The Washington Examiner reached out to United Talent Agency for comment but did not receive a response.
