TOWSON, Md. (AP) — A Maryland preparatory school has dedicated a field in honor of alumna Yeardley Love, a standout lacrosse player who was killed while attending the University of Virginia.
Several hundred people attended the ceremony at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson on Sunday. The $1.2 million field was built with donations to the school and a foundation working to raise awareness of dating violence that was started by her family.
