Parkland survivor David Hogg refuses to accept Laura Ingraham’s apology

Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg declined to accept Fox News host Laura Ingraham’s apology on Thursday after she mocked him for not getting accepted to California’s top four public universities.

“I 100% agree an apology in an effort just to save your advertisers is not enough. I will only accept your apology only if you denounce the way your network has treated my friends and I in this fight. It’s time to love thy neighbor, not mudsling at children,” Hogg wrote on Twitter Thursday.

Ingraham was heavily criticized by fellow members of the media on Wednesday after she mocked Hogg for getting rejected by the California universities.

Following her remarks, Hogg called for a boycott of advertisers who support Fox News. Hours later Ingraham posted a two part Tweet apologizing “for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland.”

By late afternoon on Thursday, five advertisers had dropped vowed to drop Laura Ingraham’s show, according to Jennifer Bend of HuffPost.
