Congressman Mike Pompeo, a Republican member of the Benghazi Select Committee, told NBC’s Chuck Todd that Hillary Clinton’s handling of the investigation into the September 11, 2012 terror attack in Benghazi “worse” than Watergate.

“This investigation has always been about one thing: the death of four Americans. We owe it to the American people to understand what happened and do what we can to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Unfortunately, the Obama administration has fought us at every turn. Just this week, three years after the attack, the administration released Ambassador Chris Stevens’ emails. In Watergate, a Nixon aide only erased 18 and a half minutes of hours of recordings. Hillary Clinton hid every single email on a private server, then erased 30,000 of them, and then forced the FBI to conduct a criminal investigation. This investigation can only conclude when all the facts are in and the truth has been revealed,” Pompeo said in a statement after the interview.
