Man arrested after $3.7M worth of drugs found in car

Authorities say a Utah man was driving around with millions worth of drugs in his car.

According to investigators, when 30-year-old Logan Pederson was pulled over in a traffic stop in Arizona, he “would not make eye contact with deputies and appeared extremely nervous.”

When a K-9 unit was called in to sniff the car, police said a litany of drugs was discovered. The stash included 66 pounds of liquid methamphetamine, six bricks of cocaine, 2.2 pounds of MDMA, and 1,000 packages of candy infused with THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. The total street value of the drugs was estimated to be about $3.7 million.

Peterson was charged with dangerous drug possession, dangerous drug possession for sale, transportation of dangerous drugs, narcotic drug possession, narcotic drug possession for sale, and transportation of narcotic drugs, all felonies.

He is being held by authorities in Mohave County, Arizona, on $300,000 bail.
