Former Starbucks CEO and Chairman Howard Schultz’s first stop on his national book tour was interrupted multiple times by protesters on Monday.
“Don’t help elect Trump, you egotistical billionaire asshole. Go back to getting ratioed on Twitter. Go back to Davos with the other billionaire elites who think they know how to run the world. That’s not what we want to see here,” one heckler yelled moments into the event, held at a Barnes & Noble book store in New York City.
Literally 30 seconds into Howard Schultz’s appearance in NY, there’s a heckler telling him “don’t re-elect Trump.” The heckler also mentions how Schultz keeps getting ratio-ed. pic.twitter.com/Q6FUnT8YX8

Anger has rippled through Democratic Party after Schultz, a self-described lifelong Democrat, announced Sunday that he was “seriously considering” running for president as a “centrist independent.” The backlash was swift, among those concerned that Schultz could siphon votes away from the Democratic nominee and hand the election to President Trump.
Schultz also faced blowback at the New York event for comments he made Sunday on “60 Minutes” casting doubt that Democratic candidates can make good on their stated support for government-financed healthcare amid growing national debt.
“Healthcare is a human right, healthcare is a human right,” a second demonstrator shouted.
