‘Your worst nightmare’: The View puts on creepy costumes for Halloween

The View held a special Halloween special called The Viewing where the five hosts dressed up in different creepy costumes inspired by thriller author Stephen King to celebrate the holiday.

Host Sunny Hostin was dressed up as Pennywise the clown because she has been afraid of clowns her whole life.

“It’s not going well, you know, the whole ‘face your fear thing,'” she said on the Thursday show. “I scared myself when I looked in the mirror. It’s not working out.”

Host Abby Huntsman dressed up as Carrie, the girl who exacts revenge on her classmates.

“This is the perfect choice for me because, you know, Carrie from Stephen King, the nice girl in school,” said Huntsman, who is referred to as the nicest host on the show by her fellow hosts. “She gets picked on. She gets picked on. She gets picked on. And then finally when she’s prom Queen, she thinks it’s her big moment, and everyone is playing a prank on her, and you know what? You know what happens when you mess with the nice girl? She ends up killing everyone off.”

Hosts Meghan McCain and Joy Behar dressed up as the Grady twins from King’s The Shining.

“We liked it because depending on if you are a Democrat coming on the show or Republican coming on the show, Joy or I are your worst nightmare, so we thought it would be funny to be the evil twins,” McCain said.
