DETROIT (AP) — Detroit plans to start work soon on a pilot project to rescue and sell parts of deteriorating homes before demolishing them.
The Detroit News reports (http://bit.ly/1owwb7X ) the deconstruction project will solicit bids from teams to salvage reusable flooring, fixtures and moldings in 10 vacant buildings in one city neighborhood.
