New York Daily News on Tuesday tweeted a meme mocking President Trump’s tweet the same day asserting his stance that Amazon should be paying higher taxes was correct and that the tech giant used the Post Office as a ‘delivery boy.’
The tweet included a photo of cartoon character Spongebob Squarepants and the text of the tweet was the same as Trump’s, but alternating capital and lowercase letters.
“I am right about Amazon costing the United States Post Office massive amounts of money for being their Delivery Boy,” Trump tweeted Tuesday. “Amazon should pay these costs (plus) and not have them bourne by the American Taxpayer. Many billions of dollars. P.O. leaders don’t have a clue (or do they?)!”

This meme tactic is used by many on social media sites to mock someone or something they said.
NYDN’s use of the meme on its official Twitter page is meant to sarcastically reiterate what Trump is saying regarding Amazon.
A site that explains the origins and uses of memes said the use of this particular meme was first used in this context to allude that Republicans still didn’t want to give free healthcare to those dying of cancer.
