Fox News’ Neil Cavuto responds to angry viewers: ‘All I’m saying is the president should be very careful calling anyone else being fake’

Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto on Friday responded to an outpouring of criticism he received online after he lambasted President Trump over contradictory statements about a payment made as part of a non-disclosure agreement with porn star Stormy Daniels.

“I’m not here to provide lessons, just facts. Just like I’ve always said, words matter, and yes, tweets matter,” Cavuto said during his show on Friday. “All I’m saying is the president should be very careful calling anyone else being fake.”

Prior to his response, Cavuto read Friday a series of mean tweets written about him following his criticism of Trump.

“Neil you proved today that you are a leftist liberal and a moron. I will no longer listen to your show. Ciao!” one post read.

“You just lost millions of Trump supporters today with your little rant on your president today Neil,” another viewer wrote. “Enjoy your low ratings!”

“What’s the deal, I’ve never heard you go on such a tirade. You need to be shipped out,” another post read.

Cavuto reiterated that he was simply acknowledging that Trump’s remarks were contradictory.

Rudy Giuliani, a new addition to Trump’s legal team, dropped a bombshell Wednesday when he revealed during an interview on Fox News that Trump reimbursed his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, for a $130,000 payment to Daniels. A payment which the president told reporters aboard Air Force One in March that he had no knowledge about.
