President Trump took aim at late night television hosts Saturday morning for their evergreen “anti-Trump” material, accusing the hosts collude with Democrats for their content.
“Late Night host are dealing with the Democrats for their very ‘unfunny’ & repetitive material, always anti-Trump! Should we get Equal Time?” Trump tweeted without naming anyone in particular.

Trump added in his next tweet that “more and more people” are saying that the Republican Party and himself should be given equal time on television because the current coverage is “one-sided.”

The tweets came about 10 minutes after “Fox & Friends” – a favorite of Trump’s – aired a segment about talk show hosts displaying political bias, which was coupled with a compilation of clips from the week.
“Late night hosts have taken a hard turn to the left, attacking President Trump, we well know this – every single night,” co-host Abby Huntsman said.
Two of the three main network television late-night hosts have become particularly pointed in their critiques of the GOP and Trump: “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” And there has been some evidence that at least one of them has been in contact with Democrats for material.
Reports broke in September that Kimmel’s emotional opening monologues during his fight against the Graham-Cassidy Obamacare overhaul were being aided by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. He also targeted Republicans over gun control after the recent mass shooting in Las Vegas.
Colbert, who on a nightly basis mocks Trump, went after the president Friday night, comparing the president to hostile Klingons from “Star Trek,” playing a clip showing them as being presidential by Trump’s terms, and joking that special counsel Robert Mueller was looking for the “pee pee” tape.
Colbert also recently singled out Rex Tillerson after reports broke that the secretary of state had called Trump a “moron.” He quipped that no one calls Trump a “moron” but him.
Other late-night hosts that mock Trump on a regular basis for his Twitter antics and staffing turnover are NBC’s Seth Meyers and, to a lesser degree, Jimmy Fallon.
