James Cameron produces apocalyptic climate change video for the Dem convention

PHILADELPHIACanadian filmmaker James Cameron produced a new video for the Democratic National Convention that slams Donald Trump’s “reckless denial of climate change.”

Cameron, a filmmaker best known for directing “Avatar,” “Titanic,” and “The Terminator,” portrays a dystopian world ridden by climate change in the video. His short film, titled “Not Reality TV” features clips of comedian Jack Black, actor Don Cheadle, Pope Francis, and former President George H. W. Bush.

“This is the painful reality of a world radically altered by climate change. It’s not reality TV,” says Sigourney Weaver, an actress narrating the video, as images of trees burning are shown. “Make no mistake, Trump’s reckless denial of climate change is dangerous, a threat to your livelihood, your safety, your children, and the prosperity of this nation.”

The video will be formally released at the convention on Wednesday night, which will feature headliners such as President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and the Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine.
