HUDSON, Ill. (AP) — A new foundation to help the families of first responders is also being created as a memorial to a fallen firefighter from the central Illinois community of Hudson.

The Chris Brown Foundation will honor volunteer firefighter Chris Brown, who was killed while on duty in 2013 after a semitrailer truck crashed into scene of an accident, The Pantagraph in Bloomington reports (http://bit.ly/1ARiMJo).
