Langley AFB in Va. clears suspicious vehicle

HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — The Air Force has released the driver of a vehicle that was briefly detained at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton after a military security dog detected explosives.

The Air Force said in a statement that emergency responders searched and cleared the vehicle on Tuesday.

The intersection of Sweeney Boulevard and Armistead Avenue has also been reopened by Hampton police.

The Air Force says the event remains under investigation.
