Saturday Night Live made fun of President Trump’s policy in Syria on the same day U.S. special operations killed ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Syria.
SNL‘s latest episode featured a fake Trump rally in which Pete Davidson came on stage pretending to be a fake ISIS terrorist thanking the president.
“I was a prisoner in Syria until last week when you freed me, so I just wanted to say, thank you for bringing jobs back to ISIS,” Davidson said as he came on stage, adding, “And I promise that I will make ISIS great again!”
“Terrific, what a great guy,” Alec Baldwin, who plays Trump on SNL, said about Davidson’s ISIS character. “ISIS is back in a big, big way, folks. And we love that, don’t we?”
The sketch came the same day that the U.S. Delta Force killed Baghdadi.
“Last night, the United States brought the world’s No. 1 terrorist leader to justice. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead,” Trump announced Sunday morning at a press conference.
The president hinted at the announcement Saturday night with a tweet saying, “Something very big has just happened!”

He said during the press conference that the ISIS leader died “whimpering and crying.”
