‘Saturday Night Live’ doesn’t shy away from the Harvey Weinstein scandal this week

Saturday Night Live” dedicated an entire skit to Harvey Weinstein and sexual harassment in Hollywood one week after the show avoided telling one joke about the embattled film producer.

The segment depicted a group of Hollywood actresses sitting down for a women’s round-table discussion at the New York Film Festival. Leslie Jones and Cecily Strong played real-life actresses Viola Davis and Marion Cotillard, while Kate McKinnon reprised her fictional aging actress Debette Goldry.

Aidy Bryant played the moderator, Glamour.com associate editor Karen Domineau.

Weinstein was also mentioned during “Weekend Update” in which both co-anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che cracked jokes at Weinstein’s expense.

The New York Times published a report earlier this month disclosing how Weinstein paid off women accusing him of sexual assault for nearly three decades. In the days since that bombshell report, multiple women, including high-profile Hollywood actresses, have accusing Weinstein of sexual harassment and sexual assault, including rape.

Weinstein has been fired from his production company, the Weinstein Company, and on Saturday he was expelled from Hollywood’s premiere organization, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
