CHICAGO (AP) — A Chicago street gang member whose testimony for federal prosecutors led to the conviction of 25 fellow Latin King members has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for racketeering and armed assault.
Nedal Issa faced a 30 years to life sentence had he not cooperated with prosecutors. Issa was in tears Monday when he told U.S. District Judge Charles Norgle he put “my whole family at risk” by testifying against leading Latin King members.
