Vice President Kamala Harris shared an ad that attacked Republican men who supported the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The ad, paid for by the Democratic National Committee, featured several prominent members of the Republican Party celebrating the decision, all of whom were men. The video encourages viewers to visit a website where they can get involved in “Defend Choice Week of Action” events to help elect Democratic politicians in the midterm elections.

“This is not a time to throw up our hands,” Harris wrote. “Let us roll up our sleeves. We are in this fight together.”

The ad included clips of former President Donald Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), former Vice President Mike Pence, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Senate Democrats failed on Thursday to achieve unanimous passage for legislation meant to protect interstate travel for women seeking abortions. Sens. Patty Murray (D-WA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) requested the unanimous vote, though Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) objected.

Harris was asked Friday whether lawmakers’ inability to codify Roe  “over the past five decades” marked a policy failure for former Democratic presidents and members of Congress. The vice president responded, “We should have rightly believed what we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled.”

A week after the Supreme Court’s decision, Harris appeared to draw a connection between the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe and the legacy of slavery.
