Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page said he received multiple death threats after being accused of colluding with Russia by Democratic officials and revealed to be the subject of a secret court warrant by the FBI.
Page said in a CNN interview Saturday that he started “getting death threats from Oklahoma” in April 2017, “based on the incitement of violence paid for by the DNC, and pushed by the Democrats, including Congressman [Adam] Schiff during his testimony with Mr. Comey.”

Page was a focus of the FBI and special counsel investigations into collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, but was never charged in the matter. He was also accused of taking payoffs from Russian gas company Rosneft in an uncorroborated dossier paid for by the Democratic National Committee.
“I think it’s unfortunate they did not focus on the incitement of violence here in the United States, which they were very much a part of,” said Page. “I did nothing wrong and if you look at the First Amendment, you’re allowed to have free speech, Michael, last I checked. At least some individuals are supposed to, but it hasn’t worked out that way thus far. Only the big massive media companies.”
Page also said the FBI was “absolutely” spying on people at Trump Tower in New York, noting that he was often in the building after the FBI had obtained a secret warrant to surveil him.
“My office, when I used to work in New York, is right next door to Trump Tower,” said Page. “I was in and out of there quite frequently. The Starbucks Coffee, you know, the cafe downstairs. There was absolutely spying in Trump, there’s no question about that.”
