Someone threw a beer at Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) during the World Series parade for the Houston Astros, leading to an arrest on Monday.
As seen in viral video posted to social media, the senator was on the bed of a jeep at the time of the incident, and someone standing next to Cruz appeared to try and block the flying brew. Booing could be heard in the footage.
Despite the attempt to shield the senator, the can struck Cruz near the chest and neck area of his body, the Houston Police Department wrote on social media, after which a 33-year-old man was taken into custody.
