ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — Berglund Automotive Group has been awarded the naming rights to Roanoke’s civic center.
The facility will be called the Berglund Center, effective in October.
Media outlets report that the Roanoke City Council accepted Berglund’s $1.75 million bid for the 10-year contract on Monday night. Berglund also will provide 10 cars for promotional purposes, bringing to the total package to about $2 million.
The other bidder was Haley Toyota, which bid $1.55 million.
