At least 20 people are dead after an explosion near the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, in the country’s Supreme Court parking lot on Tuesday.

CNN reported an additional 35 people were injured in the blast.

The U.S. State Department confirmed the blast took place near the embassy and warned travelers to monitor local news for more information on the attack.


More details on the incident weren’t immediately available.
