Billy Bush may not be out the media business for long.
A report Sunday from Page Six says the former “Today” and “Access Hollywood” host is being eyed by conservative website Brietbart News, which is run by the CEO of Donald Trump’s successful campaign for president, Stephen Bannon.
“They are trying to recruit Billy Bush,” a media insider of Breitbart told Page Six. “They want to expand covering Hollywood in a big way — and think Billy would be perfect for the job.”
Bush was let go from NBC in October after a video leaked in which a hot mic caught him and Trump in 2005 participating in a crude conversation about women.
The unnamed insider said “Billy’s ego is big. … He likes to be a TV star, and would want to go to a rival like ABC or CBS.”
His settlement with NBC did not include a noncompete clause, so he would be free to work where he chooses.
