BOSTON (AP) — An auction of items from Boston’s landmark Locke-Ober restaurant has attracted 200 bidders looking to claim items including salt and pepper shakers, old menus and a pool table.
The Boston Herald reports (http://bit.ly/YLmF5r ) that proceeds from Friday’s auction at Locke-Ober will go to the building’s new owners. The venerable restaurant closed in October.
