James Comey posted yet another photo of himself in Iowa Saturday, prompting social media users to argue about a potential 2020 presidential bid for the former FBI director.
“So good to see new growth in Iowa and across the country,” Comey captioned a photo of himself standing in what the Washington Examiner assumed to be a corn field.

His tweet comes hot on the heels of Friday Iowa post with Elwood, the tallest gnome in America. He also tweeted a “goodbye” to Iowa after vacationing in the state following his firing by President Trump.

Iowa traditionally hosts the first caucuses of the presidential cycle and is often a campaign hotbed for White House hopefuls.
Despite the cryptic tweets, Comey said during his recent publicity tour for his new memoir that he would “never” run for president.
“I wanted to say it twice so my wife would hear it,” he joked at the time to NBC’s Savannah Guthrie.
Earlier this week, the Justice Department’s inspector general revealed improper behavior on the part of Comey and other FBI officials in their handling of Hillary Clinton’s email investigation.
In particular, Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report revealed that Comey himself often used a personal email to send FBI memos and documents to his chief of staff.
Comey defended the practice by saying he only used the personal account when technical issues prevented him from using a secure FBI account. He also said he respected Horowitz’s process and accepted the report’s findings.
