A man reported that he was exiting his car on the 1200 block of 5th Street NW at about 1 a.m. Saturday when two black men wearing ski masks approached him, police said.
When one of the men brandished a handgun, the car owner ran away, dropping his car keys in the process, police said. When he returned to the scene, his car — a 1998 BMW 740 — was missing.
Police are searching for two suspects in connection with the incident: a black male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a slim build, wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a ski mask and carrying a handgun; and another black male, 18 to 20 years old, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a ski mask.
